A grim place to arrive at. Much better to depart from as wherever you're going to will be better. The vending machines are smashed to bits. The waiting areas are freezing cold and wet when the ticket office is shut. It looks like something from the war years.
A good station needing an upgrade or two. The ticket office is an example, it could open for the evening peak. Goole has good services between Hull and beyond, and Doncaster and beyond. The service to Pontefract and Leeds is pathetic. An hourly service to Pontefract and Wakefield is likely to appear fairly soon. Another one to Snaith, Temple Hirst, Brayton, and Selby could appear too.
The ticket / information office needs to be open later or reopen for the evening peak. There are enough trains for Goole 's needs with two exceptions, an hourly service to Wakefield via Knottingley and a longer term service to Selby via Snaith, and Brayton.
