Goole model boat club was formed in 1997 and has been on the site since 1999?, which is also the location of the last remaining coal hoist which is over 100 years old and a preserved English herritige site.The club is open to members 24 hours a day all year round, and members of the public are invited to attend during sailing days and club events which are published on the web site and also with the Waterways museum who lease the site from ABP and the boat club maintain.
